Beating Parkinson's one pedal stroke at a time...
My dad passed away from Parkinson's and lymphoma last year, so I saw the debilitating effects of both diseases. My goal is to raise $1000 by the end of 2010, to fund research so that a cure is found and no one else needs to suffer.
My (current) commitment is to train 35 miles/week...gradually increasing until I get to the 100 miles/week mark.
My job? Ride. I'll post my total miles for the previous week every Monday!
(Unfortunately, I experienced a high-speed OTB (over-the-bars) experience during last Thursday's commute that resulted in me being off the bike for a bit, but will start posting mileage as soon as I'm back on the bike!)
