STP GOAL: To increase the public's awareness of Parkinson's......OK, so what if I'm just trying to keep up with Ann Smith, Doug Manuel, Doug Thompson and Cathy Oas!
There's over a million Americans with Parkinson's, I'm still lucky enough to be active after over 2 years with this thing. Thank you FLORENCE and thank you modern medicine! Interestingly, they've discovered biking can be a delaying action for the disease..……that's as good as it gets! So July 13-14 I'll be riding the STP with Team Parkinson's in a Pony Express-type relay........Team Parkinson's has a few of us crazies that know the fight first-hand. Please consider a small tax-deductable contribution to the NW Parkinson's Foundation. Founded with the help of the former Gov Booth Gardner, I now serve on their Board providing education, support and HOPE for those touched by PD in the Pacific NW. There's no known CURE, but exercise can slow Parkinson's deterioration. Don't be surprised if we just keep pedaling to San Francisco!
