It seems that doctors don’t always have enough time for patients. Schedules are busy, waiting lists long, actual time face to face with the specialist can be short. You want to make sure you have an opportunity to ask your questions and still have enough time to insure satisfactory answers. Here are a few some simple tips to help make your doctor visit as helpful and efficient as possible.

When I am writing this e-mail please forgave my spelling, my husband had a MRI result come back for sure he has PD. Now his condition not very serious, his movemenet still very normal, just the laft hand saking somtime. Our doctor said he will have medicne to help him stable his condidation. I want to know, what will happen even he is under the medication. This is so new to me, I seemed have a lot of questions, but I don't know what to asked. A lot of conscern, the only feeling I have now is so sad and don't know what to do to support him and I feel alone.

One thing you can do is find a Parkinson's support group to join. Participating in a support group is a way to educate yourself about the malady.

1. don't despair. There are worse diseases. He can expect many years of "good life" with proper care. 2. Don't treat him like an invalid. Encourage him to be active physically, socially, mentally. All three are very important. 3. Exercise. Exercise. Exercise. My neurologist has even come to believe that a vigorous exercise program does more to control the symptoms than medication does. He also believes that the medication makes us feel well enough to do the exercise regularly. If possible, find one especially geared to PD. If not just keep walking regularly. 4. Educate yourselves about the disease, focusing on the positive, not the negative. Research is ongoing and promising. 5. Find a support group you like even if you have to start one yourself.

What if your legs hurt too much to walk and you get like muscle spasms at night?

As long as you have some muscle mass, eaintg healthily will allow your body to naturally (yet more slowly) burn off excess fat. However, what do you think it is easier to sell people? Pricey "healthy" food that they can just replace with items from the store, or "get ripped quick" exercise machines for $20 a pop? Also (and this is just my opinion) telling people they can still eat most of what they want and they just have to exercise is more appealing than telling them that they have to be very strict about what they eat.References :
