Protein in the diet

For some, protein in the diet has a negative effect on how well the medication may work. Often, patients will limit their protein intake during the day and save the protein for a larger meal at dinner when there may be less activity following the meal.
Some Parkinson’s medications can lower your blood pressure. This can be an issue if a patient is already on blood pressure medication and then adds PD meds as well. Your blood pressure may drop low enough that you can become dizzy and unsteady when rising to a standing position. Be sure the doc knows all the meds you are taking.
