SuperPole

A SuperPole is similar to the old chin up bars we used to place in across door jambs and never use. You would twist the bar to expand it between the sides of the doorway until it cinches tight. The SuperPole is similar except that it goes from floor to ceiling. You place it in a similar fashion by twisting it until the rubber cups on each end are tight and secure against the floor and ceiling. No need for nails, screws or anything else. You can place this pole by the bed, favorite chair or anywhere else you would benefit from an extra point of purchase or need for a good hand hold. You can find more info at www.healthcraftproducts.com/superpolesystem.htm

Comments:

We placed this pole for my husband and broke through the ceiling on the first placement. Second time, we placed it ON a ceiling joist. When it was tightened, it broke through and cracked the drywall again. What a mess! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! My husband either needs the pole or ME to help him get out of chairs.

raise the height of the chair. figure out a way to add supports at the bottom. if an inch or two will make a difference. turn the chair over and see how you can add extra height.

Patricia - try this: 1. set the pole so that it is under a ceiling joist. 2. put a board (12" X 12" X 1" should be big enough) between the pole and the ceiling. 3. tighten the pole ( this will take a third hand to hold tthe board). the board will distribute the force of the pole over a larger area of the sheetrock making it less likely to break. be careful. if the pole loosens up, the board will fall. good luck. 11/1/11

he was part of a culture of icfndfereine that allowed corrupt employees to prey on passengers' luggage and personal belongings with impunity, thanks to lax oversight and tip-offs from TSA colleagues.>> It was very commonplace, very, said Pythias Brown, a former TSA officer at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey who admits he stole more than $800,000 worth of items from luggage and security checkpoints over a four-year period.>> It was very convenient to steal, he said.>> We want to hear from you. Tell us about your experience with the TSA by joining the conversation on Facebook.>> Speaking publicly for the first time after being released from prison, Brown told ABC News his four-year-long crime spree came to an end only because he tried to sell a camera he stole from the luggage of a CNN producer on E-bay but forgot to remove all of the news networks' identifying stickers.>> It became so easy, I got complacent, Brown said.>> READ: ABC News Tracks Missing iPad to Florida Home of TSA Officer>> Brown is one of almost 400 TSA officers who have been fired for stealing from passengers in the past decade. John Mica, R-Florida, chairman of the House Transportation Committee. It is an outrage to the public and, actually, to our aviation security system, he said.>> Assigned to screen luggage behind the ticket counters, Brown said he often worked alone, was told when overhead surveillance cameras to prevent theft were not working, and was never asked about suspicious behavior.>> It was so easy, said Brown, I walked right out of the checkpoint with a Nintendo Wii in my hand. Nobody said a word. >> He said he soon learned how to read the X-ray scans to find the most valuable items to steal.>> I could tell whether it was cameras or laptops or portable cameras or whatever kind of electronic was in the bag, Brown said.>> At the time of his arrest, Brown was offering for sale some 80 cameras, video games and computers on his personal eBay page.>> It was like being on drugs, it was, he told ABC News. I was like, What am I doing?' but the next day I was right back at it. >> Brown described one instance when he got a tip off about complaints from passengers about thefts.>> One gentleman that used to work in the office one day came to me and said, They were talking about you in the office.
