Find and join a support group. It’s a great way to swap ideas and insights, get a sense of community and to realize that you are not on this journey alone.

I'm new at this E-mail thing and the web. I was "surfing" when I came to this Tip Jar. It's great. I joined a support group in 2004. I'm not sorry I did. They helped me and I've helped them. We talk about medicines, doctors, symtoms, etc. It's not all talk, there's lots of laughter and sometimes tears for a lost friend or a new one. We have caregivers and fellow Parkinsonions. I would encourage you to find one near you and not be afraid or embarassed to join.

The book, Hugs for Caregivers, is a humorous, lively, honest, fictious support group of six characters. Amazon. com sells it for a few cents plus postage. I wrote it before my husband had Parkinsons.
