They say the five stages of grief are fear, anger, denial, negotiation and acceptance. The goal here is acceptance. Making PD a part of your life and not let it define your life. The homework here is to realize and identify the first four stages and know that the end goal is acceptance. We all know those that are in denial or still negotiating. It’s through education, confidence in your medical care and becoming proactive towards self-care that one makes the leap to acceptance.
