Carry a few strips of paper (long and thin - off a page of A4, or tear a page into one-inch wide strips (fold, run finger along fold, tear, for straighter strips).
If you freeze, ask someone to place three strips in front of you, running across parallel to each other (you could ask someone to provide paper if you don't have any) - hope for a calm day! We can all do steps, so these strips are like the edges of steps, and I have done this for a number of pwps, who have ALWAYS been able to move when stepping over them!
