A patient should always seek out and find a Fellowship Trained Movement Disorder Specialist to treat their PD. This is generally a neurologist that chooses to focus their primary scope of practice to a subset of neurological disorders called Movement Disorders. It takes approximately two years of training under a Movement Disorder Fellow to receive this specialty designation. Movement Disorders include Parkinson’s, Dystonia, Essential Tremor and other chronic, neurological disorders. A specialist is able to stay focused and up-to-date on this narrower scope of insights, discoveries, updates and best practices. A Fellowship Trained Movement Disorder specialist (MDS) doesn’t have to be aces in epilepsy, apnea, or Alzheimer’s. Parkinson’s is a designer disease. It effects every patiently differently. You want your doctor to have experience with many different cases and practice in medicating the unique was PD expresses itself in each patient. You want an experienced bartender that knows the correct and best cocktail of meds that will offer you your 110% quality of life. Remember, Fellowship Trained Movement Disorder Specialist (MDS). You can find a partial list of MDS’s or at least, doctors that have a large PD practice, at www.wemove.org. If there isn’t a MDS accessible to you then try and find a neurologist that sees many PD patients.

Is an anger attack siialmr to a panic attack? I always feel like my attacks are down to frustration rather than fear. I've never hit or lashed out at anyone but instead if someone is criticizing me I feel useless and I start to internalize the criticism and my thoughts just keep getting worse until I have a full blown anger/panic attack. I feel like I have no control or can't do anything right. Can anyone tell me if this sounds more like panic or just rage at myself?
