Wellness CenterJanuary 2011

Dear Wellness Member,

Happy New Year 2011!

It has been one year since we started the NWPF Virtual Wellness Center and so much has happened since then. Thank you for your questions, comments and enthusiasm in making this site a success. We listened to you, our wellness members, and improved the navigation on our site to make it easier for you to find what you need. You participated in surveys that will help shape our wellness conference and 2011 content. Based on your feedback, we have added more information of Parkinson’s symptoms, videos and worksheets allowing you to optimize and personalize your care.

As we think ahead and wonder what 2011 has in store, many of us are thinking about new goals, plans and resolutions to make this year a positive one.

In A New Year, A Better Year! we will review tips to help you set your wellness goals and stay on track. Take a moment to review last year’s inaugural edition, Use it or Lose It, as a helpful and inspirational reminder of the many ways that you can make a difference toward a healthier brain with or without Parkinson’s.

  • On your Mark, Get Set, Goal.  Tips on goal setting and making it happen.
  • On Your Mark, Get Set, Go... Are you ready for change?
  • Team Parkinson's Kilimanjaro.  Help us meet our goal in making Team Parkinson’s Kilimanjaro a success. Join this team and be part of a virtual community with one goal- working together to inspire one another in our own personal wellness goals. Register for the Kick off Seminar on January 22nd. You may register on line or call 1-877-980-9500 to learn more about this exciting program.

Also don't forget to tell us what you want by taking our 2011 survey and sign up for the Second Annual Wellness Day as we explore the Power of the Mind - Your thoughts can affect how you feel.

Join us next month as we celebrate Valentine’s Day in our series Relationships and Intimacy.

Wishing you a well and happy in your New Year,
