Reinvent the Wheel
“Re-invent the wheel", the wellness program for Parkinson’s disease.
In this program you will explore important themes, and the steps to take to improved wellness and quality of life for you and your family.
It is easy to assume that wellness will automatically decline or worsen as symptoms intensify. However, people do continue to live quality and full-lives despite loss in mobility. Think about the many things that can add quality to your life. If your disease limits your ability to do something, it is possible to shift your focus to something else.
Although movement and physical abilities may still be important as this athlete gets older, other priorities such as family, friends or spirituality become equally or even more important. By paying attention to these new priorities you can continue to move in a positive direction towards “being well”. This requires flexibility and openness as you redirect your focus from one life attribute that is on the decline to another life attribute you have yet to explore.
