Music Helps this PWP move to the beat.

Music helps me move. I have had Parkinson’s for 15 years. When I cannot walk- in off situation when medication does not work or end of dose - I put on my mp3 player, plug it into my ear and listen to the "rhapsody march" by Johann Strauss.  The music has 104 metronome beats and is very rhythmical

I stand still, concentrate on the rhythm and start walking nearly as if I had nothing.  After some steps I can even jump and feel completely relaxed and easy going. It is quite incredible.  Submitted by:  Gerdi, PWP 15 years.
