Exercise Specialists Motivation to Change
A strong body will help you prepare for changes that occur with Parkinson’s.
Parkinson’s disease is a movement disorder with symptoms of slowness, rigidity, tremor and changes with walking.
Exercise can improve your symptoms or how your body and mind feels despite these symptoms. Exercise can also help your mood, self esteem, energy level and stamina. Improving your fitness level will help you age well in the years to come. Ecercise may even be neuroprotective helping to protect nerve cells vulnerable to damage.
We all know the importance of exercise. Sometimes we just need some help getting started and staying motivated. A physical therapist can help you get started with a safe and effective exercise program based on your needs and goals, medical condition and current level of ability.
